Believe in Barrow began life in 2014, with the vision cast of a town-wide celebration of the Christian faith. Churches across Barrow came together to plan and prepare, with the first Believe in Barrow then taking place in May 2015.

This five-day event featured the Archbishop of York, Roger Simpson, and various other speakers, as well as musicians and entertainers such as the TX Vikings Norwegian Strong-men team.

Believe in Barrow arose out of the conviction that the Christian message is good news - not simply good advice. And so after the success of Believe in Barrow 2015, it made sense to continue and develop this initiative. After all, good news is worth sharing.

In 2016 a team of representatives from different churches began meeting to plan another town-wide event, Believe in Barrow 2017. This is taking place from 8-17th September 2017, and will be called Real Lives. Local events will happen across Barrow, culminating in a special weekend at The Forum, Barrow.
